About Jim
Jim West served as the Senior Vice President of the Mission Engineering and Resilience Sector at Amentum. He was responsible for engineering and technical services for defense and security sensors and systems; critical infrastructure analyses and risk mitigation; electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) analysis and certification; and resiliency training and operations planning. He has worked across multiple organizational divisions and groups and focused on solving problems for existing clients and identifying emerging opportunities to help Federal/Local Government Agencies and Commercial clients. Prior Amentum, Jim served as Operations Lead at Booz, Allen, Hamilton, Inc., performing vulnerability testing, trusted recovery, asset management, network availability analysis, and concept of operations development. Prior to commercial work, Jim served 24 years in the U.S. Marine Corps performing electronic warfare, signals and all-source intelligence, reconnaissance, and strategic and operational planning and assessments. His breadth of experience included Joint and Service-specific command and senior staff positions in the U.S. and abroad. Jim has more than 30 years of experience supporting organizations around the world in the fields of risk analysis, electromagnetic spectrum operations, intelligence, and vulnerability assessment. He received his Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies from Marine Corps University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas.
